THE NEW EP IS COMPLETE!!

MetByFate has completed recording their first EP!! It has been a long journey but recording on the new record has been completed and now it's off to the presses to be printed and packaged up!
Available now to be streamed is "Sea Level To Mile High", the first single from the new record. "Sea Level" is a poignant tale of leaving home, coming home and finding your true home.

It has been a busy summer and fall for the guys in MetByFate. Not only have they been busy recording their debut album, they have added two new members! As many of you may know, Tracy & Steve have always planned to expand from the duo that we've seen live, to a full band. Well, guess what folks? It has happened. When friends Bill Yeager and Randy Parks made themselves available to work in the studio with Tracy & Steve on the album, few saw what was to come next. As FATE would have it, both of these stellar musicians became available at the perfect time; a time when MetByFate was preparing to start auditioning new members. No auditions needed here! The work that Bill and Randy did in the studio was audition enough!
Update--Canadian Hunter Taylor has joined the band to handle drumming duties. Hunter comes with a wealth of experience and happens to play with bassist Bill Yeager in another project. Tracy will still be playing some drums, but with his bandmates backing, he will be spreading his wings with his vocal and lyrical stylings. So the story continues...

"We're finally going into the studio!" (May 2017)
The boys are heading into the studio! MetByFate has announced that they will be laying down tracks for their upcoming EP release. Steve Bender announced on Facebook that they will be going into the studio starting in April at the House in Motion Studios with owner and producer and long time friend Derrick Bozkurt. The band is so excited to finally be recording even just a few of their extensive collection of original songs. When asked about the upcoming recording sessions, Tracy had this to say:

The truth is, in this life you will meet alot of people who say that they are your friend. They may even call you a brother or a sister. We know that the reality is, most people are consumed with themselves. Let me tell you that this band, these guys, are the real deal. No pretense. No B.S. Founding member Tracy Brinkley says "MeyByFate is a musical journey dedicated to being real. Being the type of band that makes honest music for real people. What Steve & I are doing comes from a real place. We're not sitting around trying to craft the perfect song. Or trying to follow some formula. Real music is organic, not contrived." MetByFate member Steve Bender wins a 2016 COLORADO ROCK AWARD!!
MetByFate founding member Steve Bender has won the inaugural Colorado Rock Award for Best Keyboardist!!
Big congrats to Keyboardist/Guitarist/Singer Steve Bender for winning Best Keyboardist!
Steve's and Tracy's work in their former band the Tim Huston Project, lead to both of their nominations for Rock Awards. Steve's win is an incredible accomplishment and well deserved. His work in THP took that band's sound to a whole new level, changing their sound completely.
Many MetByFate fan's only know Steve for his guitar playing and vocals.
(The truth is, he started out a drummer!)
MetByFate co-founder Tracy Brinkley said "Steve is a musical talent like no other I have met. He is more than a musician and my musical brother. He is a musical fucking force to be reckoned with! Keys, vocals, guitar, lyricist... what can't he do? He SO deserves this accolade! He inspires and informs my musical soul. I am so proud of Steve's win and to have created MetByFate with him."
So next time you see MetByFate or run into Steve, be sure to congratulate him. And BTW, rumor has it that we may just be hearing Steve's key work at an upcoming MetByFate gig...stay tuned!
